The Dearborn Park Parent Teacher Association has been serving the students and community of our South Seattle elementary school since 1981. We support the school by providing volunteer support and fundraising. Funds raised by the PTA in the 2023-24 school year are used/will be used for:
- Providing funding for lunch room staff
- Supporting funding for visiting international teachers
- Providing teacher grants for materials
- Refreshments for school events and coffee connects
- Ensuring every child gets a yearbook
Participating in the PTA
There are many ways to participate in the PTA! You can join us at our monthly meetings to share ideas, volunteer to help run the events at the school, join in fundraising efforts, come to PTA sponsored events, or become a PTA member to stay of the loop. As a community we can do more together!
PTA Reoccurring Events
Coffee Connects - First Friday of the Month
These are an opportunity to build community with other parents and check in with administrators, staff, and PTA Board.
Working Meetings - Second Thursday of the Month - 7:30-8:30pm
These meetings are a way to get a sense of what the PTA is working on, ask questions, or bring new ideas.
Links will be sent out a few days before the meeting to our mailing list as well as via the school.
Fundraising Opportunities
Part of the work of the PTA is coordinating fundraising for our school so we can host community events and support school programs, like the international interns. Look below for ways you can support fundraising for the PTA.

Volunteering
For the events the PTA sponsors or for school needs we send email blasts looking for volunteers. So be on the look out for those messages!
